This is truly a culinary experience! The place is decorated in a traditional style, and the well-trained, attentive staff helped us understand a bit of their culture, then gave us a brief description of the dishes. The food was excellent we discovered some unique and pleasantly surprising flavors. The portions are generous. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Alem. Since both of us ordered the vegetarian combo, we got one big platter full of dinners and delicious dishes (yellow peas, cabbage, collards, lentils, and spinach). The flavors were perfect. It was early in the evening when we arrived so it wasn't too busy, but as good as the food is, I can see how it could easily be packed most of the time. Great food, kind service, superb value. We'll visit again.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it did not disappoint! Loved that there is a dedicated vegetarian part of the menu and that it’s gluten free. The food was all so flavorful and delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff very kind and attentive. Would highly recommend this place!

I just wanted to thank you so much for preparing the food and delivering it under such difficult circumstances. The food was fantastic — everyone enjoyed it. Even my mom, who is a proud cook and not easily impressed, made an unprecedented comment about how great it was.Some of the local friends have already asked for your location so they can visit your place themselves. I also stopped by today to say hello and thank you in person, but you were closed. Again, THANK YOU!
