Stan’s Brunch – Downtown DC Classic with Great Comfort Food Looking 👀 for a great brunch spot today? Stan’s DC is a true downtown Washington, DC staple and a great brunch option if you’re near McPherson Square, Vermont Avenue NW, or exploring the heart of the city. Located at 1029 Vermont Ave NW, Stan’s has that classic DC restaurant, bar, and lounge feel with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly energy, and a menu full of satisfying comfort food. Their brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM, making it a solid weekend stop for locals, visitors, and anyone looking for a casual downtown brunch experience. The brunch menu has a little something for everyone, including Stan’s Signature Breakfast, shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, omelets, Belgian waffles, eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and their brunch burger. The food is hearty, flavorful, and fulfilling without feeling overly complicated, which is exactly what you want from a dependable DC brunch spot. What I like about Stan’s is the old-school downtown DC vibe. It feels like one of those places where you can enjoy good food, good drinks, and a laid-back brunch without all the extra fuss. Whether you’re stopping in before sightseeing, meeting friends, grabbing a weekend bite, or looking for a casual brunch near downtown DC, Stan’s is definitely worth checking out. Hidden gem 💎 Overall, Stan’s DC is a great brunch choice for comfort food, cocktails, and a classic Washington, DC restaurant experience. I would recommend it for anyone looking for brunch in Downtown DC, near McPherson Square, or close to Vermont Avenue NW.

Finally made it to Stan's. They are right about the drinks. I only had 2!! Lol Read the menu, as it has a section explaining the 4oz pour as well as gratuity. Our waiter was great. The fried chicken was fried well. I did not like the in-house mumbo sauce. It tasted a lot like hot sauce. The steak was supposed to be medium well, but it was well done. I needed A1 sauce to eat it and comfortably chew it. The veggies and fries were tasty. My bf did enjoy the steak despite him asking for medium well. On the walk back to my hotel, I was tipsy for about 10min off of 2 drinks. Money well spent!

Service was 20/10! The drinks were DRINKING me you hear me lol. Strong and to the point. I went on a Friday night and it was packed but the service was on point. I’m not even exaggerating everything ordered came within 5-10 mins. I ordered my appetizer and meal together at 9:04 and they were at my table at 9:09 for the appetizer and 9:12p for the meal. I was in total awe. My first time and just know I will definitely be back. I got the catfish bites and wings. I heard great reviews on the wings and they did not disappoint. Wings were hot and fresh and the mambo sauce was the topper. From a southern, Stan’s yall are alright with me. Yall make me want to tell Charlotte, NC to step their game up. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! My waitress was the star of the show as well. She was very attentive, kept checking on us. Any request for a sauces or anything it was bought in .05 seconds. Thanks Lily! If you ever go, ask for my girl Lily! She will hook you up.

This place was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Be prepared to wait 30 mins for a table on the weekend. The place is packed and they use ever available space in the restaurant, but SEAN will make sure you get in. HE'S AMAZING!!!!! People are constantly pouring in so you KNOW it's gonna be good and don't worry, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!! The crabcake sandwich and haddock fish on brioche bun was AMAZING!!!!! Perfectly made..... today is Sunday and we were there Friday and I still can't stop thinking about it and how DELICIOUS it was. The golden Margarita is $22 it's okay but it's strong and that's good. It threw us off when it came to the bill but that's our fault for not asking lol I 1000% recommend eating there if you are ever in D.C.!!!!

The chicken wings are huge and fried very well. If they had better sauce options that would be nice. Drinks are questionable, very strong but didn’t taste like what we ordered so they went to waste. It’s very loud and the vibe gives off “after hours spot”.
