I enjoyed Ben's Next Door. It reminds me of a hookah lounge in Houston without the hookahs. Good music, decent food, and very good service. I met some locals who gave me advice on what to eat so i ordered the mambo wings as well as the dry rub with 2 old fashioneds. Really good, but one of my wings was slighty undercooked. Overall, the vibe was nice and I would visit again.

When you didn’t make it to the original resi and plan B pulls through! Came through BND on a whim and had a TIME! Grabbed bar seats, it was still brunch so we started with drinks and small bites from the brunch menu! We had a little bit of everything ! Wings, espressos, daiquiris, long islands, crab deviledeggs, burgers. Even got happy hour food to go. Prices were really reasonable. HH at BND is definitely added to the list

A few days ago my brother bought happy hour drink for $8 and a $1 tip. Hours later the total updated to at $15 tip. So today we came back and we both ordered burgers. After a 20 min wait The burgers were dry and burnt that we have to send both back to the kitchen. The manager was kind and could not processed the refund. At the end of the meal there was confusion about comping both sandwiches

Always a great time! This has been my go-to happy hour spot on U Street for years, and the experience stays consistent every visit. Ms. Jay and Dre do an incredible job keeping the energy high, the service flowing, and the atmosphere welcoming. They’re the kind of leaders who make a place feel like more than just a bar — they create a vibe that keeps people coming back. Great people, great energy, and always a good time!

The music was good. The food was okay. There are lots of options. The drinks were good as well. Service is iffy. Our server would come and then disappear. She wasn't very attentive. One person in our party spilled a drink and we cleaned it up. The server didn't clean the table. Didn't bring a replacement drink or more napkins. We flagged someone down to help us.
