Picked up my to go order on 6/24 and was given meat I didn’t ask for and burnt food. I requested 2 wings and a thigh and was given 2 breasts a thigh. Then the waffles were burnt. Highly disappointing that anyone employee would consider this quality food to package and serve to a customer. Tried calling and left a message and no one has responded back yet.

Just so you guys know I’m not a hater. The ambiance was intriguing, so we thought it was going to be a good place but the food was pretty mid. I ordered a bowl and the mashed potatoes were cold, as well as some of the sides we bought. The corn was bitter and the grits had no flavor the kale salad was a d.i.y as well. The catfish and biscuits were good but are they even homemade…..? The “Cajun fries” were basically just thick, soggy fries with seasoning sprinkled on top. The mac and cheese also had a gritty texture which was sad because that’s what we were most excited for. Overall I’d say trust them reviews I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic soul food.

The blackened shrimp with grits was flavorful, and balanced. The fried shrimp with mashed potatoes? A combo that's both indulgent and deeply satisfying. And the fried chicken? Crispy, juicy, and everything you'd hope for from a true Southern kitchen. Little Skillet delivers big on taste, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this hole-in-the-wall is worth seeking out. Highly recommend!

Went here for my birthday dinner, there were no black people working there, strange for a black owned establishment. The chicken was good but the greens were horrible! My kids are the pulled pork n mac n cheese they said it was okay but they have had better… I was hoping for an amazing experience and great good but I got way less….

Casual place with great comfort food. One of the best chicken and waffles. Very generous portion. Service is pretty good too
