So…. Me and my homegirl went here the other day. And let me tell you!!!!! The food was fire. We started off with drinks, we both got the strawberry and rhubarb drink which was around $20. It hit the spot, was sweet enough yet strong. Then for starters we had a butter salad, it was different but ok for me. I did eat it all though 😅. Their menu is a bit too pricey but some of the items are worth it. Then we went with scallops corn pudding dishe. Which was nice, but very pricey $36. I never tasted okra with those flavors which was a pleasant surprise. Next we ordered what our server stated are crowd favorites. Suya half chicken and the lamb dish and the sweet potato. Babey!! That sweet potato 🍠 was the clear winner. Dare I say the best sweet potato dish I’ve ever tasted!!’ We ate the sweet potato with the lamb and tbh we could have gotten two of each and that would have been perfect. Also the lamb dish had couscous which is something I never eat ever. However!! The way they made it made me shut up and eat! The lamb chunk was tender and flavorful. The Suya chicken tasted liked seasoned chicken and it wasn’t bad but nothing I would recommend. Then we got the banana split, I really didn’t care for it too much since the dark cherries took over the whole flavor profile. I was hoping for more of a banana flambé. Hopefully this menu sticks around longer so I can visit it again. You can tell the chef is passionate about the menu. Ohh the places was super cute, parking wasn’t there! I think they had valet but I didn’t use it. My picture has the banana split dessert, lamb dish and Suya half chicken.

What a come back! The new Alta Adams is almost unrecognizable. Every aspect of the experience has been noticeably elevated. From the moment I walked in I noticed it. The service is warmer, more personable, more professional, more confident and more engaged. The wait staff, GM and somm are more excited, more insightful and have taken full ownership of the customer experience. The food is technically more precise, more coherent, more delicious, and feels more well thought out. And finally, the cocktail program is more aligned with the food in concept and quality. And it all comes together so much more thoughtfully, coherently, and seamlessly. I had to share how different the entire experience was with Chef Keith, his lovely wife and every person I interacted with.

If you live in Los Angeles or just visiting Los Angeles, I suggest that you take time out to set a reservation and visit this wonderful restaurant. From the time we walked in the door, we were greeted with a warm greeting, Walk to our table by the window in a beautiful air condition room. We were treated with so much love from the way all of the delicious dishes came out How we were waiting on to the different types of silverware to use the wine shop next-door is absolutely amazing. We had the raw oysters with strawberries. And then was served a delicious sweet potato with this homemade bread with a butter spread and this delicious jam. We actually cut the last piece in half. It was so delicious and then I had the fish while my friend had the glazed pork chop. Everything was delicious from start to the end. We didn’t wanna leave. Please go and enjoy the delicious food the five star atmosphere the waiters and waitresses are so tentative. If I could go every day, I would thank you Keith. Keep up the good work.

I would give this place ten stars if I could, as the full experience was incredible. The ambience of the restaurant made for a perfect date night, further enhanced when the lights were dimmed for the evening. The meal started with the best old fashioned I’ve ever had, hands down. Each dish that arrived was flavorful, inventive, and incredibly satisfying. And on top of that, the staff was attentive and seemed genuinely invested in ensuring we enjoyed our selections. I can’t wait for my next visit!

An elegant restaurant that feels right for a gathering of friends or a special date night. Every course was delicious. Loved the crispy skin of the eggplant topped with fried okra. Loved the wood fired cabbage with spicy complex sauce. Loved the steak that was sooooo juicy, that was a sauce that needed to be licked from the plate. Very warm service from the host to the server & the chef and his wife greeting old and new friends. I look forward to returning every time I'm in LA!
