Very late review. Our visit was 3/2025 before the Mary J. Blige concert. The food was delish! My cocktail was top shelf without asking. The service was so fast we had extra time before the concert. Location is perfect. The crowd was a mixed vibe and we were seated with no wait. Prices were reasonable. There was a vibrant modern speak-easy decor’ Best was food presentation and flavor. The only downside was it lacked comfort in seating.

Brian was great, he told us it was black owned!!! My husband and I came for the usher and Chris concert and stumbled across this place. Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful staff. Brian was very personable. When we come back to Detroit, we will definitely visit again!

78 Social is an incredible Black-owned gem in downtown Detroit. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is super chill, the décor is stylish and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile. I would've taken a picture sooner, but the food looked and smelled so good I had to start eating immediately. By the time I remembered, I was already a few bites in! The wings were absolutely phenomenal, easily some of the best I've had. The drinks were outstanding, and the food somehow managed to be even better. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite. The highlight of the night was our server, Jayda. She was spectacular. She made us feel like family, checked on us at just the right times, and delivered some of the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. The restaurant was spotless, the service was exceptional, and the entire experience was first class. I love supporting Black-owned businesses that do things the right way, and 78 Social absolutely delivers. I can't wait to come back, and next time I'll try to remember to take the picture before the first bite!

Great vibes, great food, great energy, great staff. We had crab rangoon egg rolls they were wonderful. Best lamb ribs in the city!!! BBQ wings were great crispy and sauce was fresh. The bang bang shrimp was amazing the sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The drinks were good as well. Highly recommend this place. Monse was our server and she was very attentive and gave us top notch service!!! If you go ask for her, she will take care of you!

If you have not been to 78 Social this establishment should be on your places to visit. I love that it is one block from all the stadiums, Gilmore, Coz, and Opera. The vibes were as advised I loved the DJ and music. Let's talk about the menu. Wow. Absolutely 💯. The lamb ribs and Buffalo Mac were on point! We also had the Crab Egg Roll for an appetizer which was also unique and delicious. We loved the choices of hand crafted cocktails 🍸. Love love love 78 Social. The manager Brian consistently made sure we were good with the Chef Nick which we thought was great to see the Chef table touch and ask how we enjoyed our meals. Kudos to them 👏
