Overall this was a decent experience. There was a hair in my bag but not in my food. All of the sides were delicious but the potato salad wasn’t to my liking. Seem to be more on the mustard side so I wasn’t too fond of it. The chicken and fish was definitely made to order. Piping hot! Which was a plus but there were feathers on a few of the wings and it seemed like only one wing had seasoning on it. Both the house sauce and mumbo sauce were good. My catfish was delicious but it was not crispy like I saw in previous reviews so that was a tad bit disappointing. Later on I went to warm some of the greens and found a piece of the paper wrapper from the greens inside. The lemon cake was great and moist. The young lady that took my order was very pleasant and nice. So would I go back yes because it wasn’t all bad and I would like to try some other menu items and I like that it’s a soul food establishment that has good sides and mains because that’s pretty hard to find in this area.

So this is the second time I tried them The first time some of the items were not that great and I got the exact same thing, but I took it back and they made it right. But this time everything was perfect. The fish was seasoned perfectly. The yams were sweet, and the cabbage was delicious. If they keep pumping out these type of meals, I will be ordering from them a few times a week. I love a consistent meal And the packaging was good

The service was excellent and food was so delicious! I ordered the salmon bites, collard greens, candied yams, and blueberry lemonade. They give you great portions as well so I had enough for 2 meals. Please note that there is limited seating inside and can accommodate smaller parties. Recommend take out. Highly recommend and already told family and friends about this.

I really wanted to like this place. I went based upon the reviews. Influencers must be paid to provide positive feedback. This place is absolutely horrible. We ordered the chicken wing combo with macaroni and cheese, collard green and yams. We also ordered a whitening and chicken combo with green beans and cabbage. Every piece of chicken was covered in feathers. How lazy must the cook be to leave the chicken fully covered in feathers. Not just one or two pieces but covered in the long bristles. Secondly the chicken was soggy not from condensation but because it was not cooked long enough. It was not crispy like shown in others reviews or their website. Lastly the lack of seasoning on the chicken left a lot to be desired. The cabbage had the strangest taste. I can't even guess what that was. It was absolutely disgusting. The macaroni and cheese was extra cheesy but had absolutely no flavor. The sweet potatoes were some of the worst I have ever tasted. The were semi hard and the only thing I could taste was an overload of cinnamon, so much so that I could not even force myself to swallow them. This food is not prepared with care, love or by someone who really knows soulfood. The cabbage had the same odd taste as the green beans. They only thing that was just okay were the collard greens. They weren't good but just okay. We wasted $78.00 because we threw all of that garbage in the trash. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. I don't know who is preparing the food but fish had so many bones my husband could not eat it. This restaurant is all hype and no substance. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Never again.

Heard about this spot on TikTok yesterday and my wife and I happen to be in the area today so we stopped by… So glad we did. We had a 10 out of 10 experience. The young lady on the register gave us great customer service. She was friendly and welcoming, and super helpful. The owner was in the building. He was greeting customers coming out to the front checking on us great hospitality. But the food… 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 They were busy and we still got our food with within 15 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh, but even more than that it was all delicious. We live about 40 minutes away and we plan to be back regularly.
