Really great time for my first time at the restaurant!! I wasn't a fan of the gumbo. It didn't have a good flavor. I had the fried catfish sandwich with fried okra as my meal. This entree completely made up for the gumbo. The bun was soft, veggies fresh, catfish flaky, tartar sauce great!!! The fried okra was chef's kiss. It was well seasoned and the texture was perfect. I had a mocktail (can't remember the name) that was a mix of ginger beer, mango, and lime to go with the food. The drink was cute and refreshing! The whole experience was a 10/10. I will definitely come back to enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere!!!

I never leave a review!! This place has my business.. I am newer to Houston and a friend came to visit for my birthday . I am soooo glad we went to this spot. Let me first say that our server Jeff gave the entire rundown on the menu🔥 had us ready to try every thing available😂 we ordered 2 jerk lamb chops and 2 original as appetizers during happy hour🤤 and baby I coulda got up and kissed the cook.. jerk 10/10 original 9.5/10 they were so flavorful and tender all the way through... my friend literally debated ordering more to take with her😭... the frozen watermelon dusse was great and I only needed 1 drink🍹 and it was good all the way gone 10/10 . The oxtails, Smothered chicken, Mac n cheese,and yams taste like the ansestors were partying in the kitchen and were all 10/10💋💋 the cornbread taste like a mix of cornbread and hot water cornbread it was about 8/10 for me but I will try the biscuit next time.. The vibe was great! Good music!! Wonderful staff!! The price was right.. Top Notch Server..Very filling portions... I will be back... Thank you guys for a wonderful experience🔥🔥🔥 these photos dont do justice!!

☆ Sunrise (fresh squeezed orange & lemon) 🌟 :: 5 This was so good & refreshing! ☆ Praline Pecan Waffles 🌟 :: 3.5 They were ok. ☆ Fish & Grits 🌟 :: 4.5 Although I asked, my fish wasn't fried hard enough, and the fish itself could've used a little more seasoning. Other than that, this was so good! Customer service 🌟 :: Phenomenal!! #MyRatingsAreFrom1to5 🌟

Pros: Food was amazing. The waiter recommended fried catfish and blackened shrimp over dirty rice.... amazing!! My entire party loved their food. Drinks were really good and they have such a variety. Vibe was live. Good musics playing but not overbearing. Multiple tvs if you wanted a distraction while you ate. Cons: Bathrooms could use some love. Loved it! We will be back!!

The atmosphere a.d the door waa great. The birthday celebration 5 layer rainbow cake was awesome. I didn't know they added gratuity to 5 person table so I left cash on the table and paid the bill. Later noticed a $49+ gratuity tip on the receipt. I was a lil jealous and wanted my cash back, lol. But the waitress waa amazing. Ran into a few famous Utubers since it waa DreamCon weekend. 2 snaps up
